Historical
After 30 years of making things, it is difficult to differentiate my “best” work from my “favorite” work, so I have put these 2 old reels of work here, the first from my Agency Producer days (1988-1995) and the second from the following period (1996-2010ish).

The success of The ShangHi-Los EP has the ears of their industry - and the anticipation for their first full length album is building! Here is the first single from that album, with video concepted, shot & edited by HM. A truly enjoyable experience!

ROBIN LANE “All I’ll Ever Need” ©2022 RedOnRed Records. An absolute pleasure to make this video for one of my musical heroes of my youth. Geoffrey Himes of The Washington Post says, “Though Blondie's Deborah Harry and the Pretenders' Chrissie Hynde have had more hits and better press, Robin Lane looms large as the most talented female artist to come out of New Wave Rock.” I can confirm it’s all true.

I got to shadow the directing duo Benson & Moorhead as they make a thirty second commercial for Olympus cameras. Here is the result.

Here’s a couple favorites from 2021
WATTS “Loud and Fast”
Bitter Pill “Conned”

I got a call from Blue Man Group in 2008, they had hours of concert footage they wanted edited down in sync, and I ended up conceiving and directing (and editing!) their “diner video” for their remake of the Donna Summer song “I Feel Love.”
The other video here is Orangutang’s “Bigger Chunk” which is similar in that I shot a lot of their shows and the label wanted a “performance video.”
This is from 1994(?), edited by the great Larry Andersen.
Both videos remain the most watched and popular on my YouTube channel.

Unreleased Wizzardess video, 2021. Each band member was shot on green, it was a high bar to composite them together, the results are amazing.
Cherry 2000's retro video for "Sullen Man", created to showcase live footage from the 90's that I shot.

A winter themed video shot at Haunted Overload in Lee NH
From the Papercuts' video "Bruise Me"
My video for the Papercuts' "Skeleton Bones" was projected behind the band for a live event in which they played it live to a click track. It was flawless and thrilling!
Watts "She's So Electric" was shot at Haunted Overload in the rain - this is a drone shot as the band is 20 feet off the ground on this elevated stage.
Title screen from the Reverend Todd Seely's "King of Nothing," shot and edited before the artist moved to Africa.
Do you like clowns? I have unintentionally become friends with a LOT of them.
Title screen from my fake movie trailer for the Brattle Theater's trailer competition. Had a blast making this with my son.
Sometimes a character just wanders up to the lens and knows what to do. This is one of those impromptu times.
Lo light no FX.
I directed this unused video shot by my pal Patrick Ruth. It is a thing of beauty.

The above are stills from various projects that are easier to explain with images than whole video, and all are special in their own way.
